The Jonah Lomu Foundation exists to honour the legacy of Jonah Lomu by creating meaningful opportunities for young people and communities to thrive through sport, health awareness, and community empowerment.
Inspired by Jonah’s journey with the All Blacks and his resilience in the face of health challenges, the Foundation is grounded in values of humility, strength, and service. We are committed to removing barriers to youth participation in sport by providing access to resources, development pathways, and mentorship that foster confidence, discipline, and leadership.
The Foundation also promotes health education and awareness, supporting initiatives that encourage early intervention and provide guidance for families navigating serious health conditions. Through partnerships with community organisations, schools, and health professionals, we aim to build informed and resilient communities.
At its core, the Foundation is dedicated to uplifting communities through inclusive, sustainable programmes that reflect the spirit of Jonah’s legacy. As custodians of his name, we are committed to ensuring that every initiative embodies his values and creates lasting impact.
Through this work, the Jonah Lomu Foundation transforms inspiration into action — empowering the next generation to dream, achieve, and lead.

Jonah inducted into the First Pasifika Rugby Hall of Fame.

Jonah drew millions to rugby who had never watched a game before. He inspired children in countries where rugby was barely known. He became a symbol of possibility, proof that greatness can come from humility, courage, and belief.
There will never be another Jonah.
A once-in-a-generation athlete. human being. A once-in-a-lifetime.
The Jonah Lomu Foundation is more than a Foundation. It is a continuation of a dream.

As a school boy, Jonah was the driving force behind the dominance of the All Black sevens team at Hong Kong. Claiming three consecutive titles 1994, 1995 and 1996, remarkably, not losing a single match during that era.
Not merely victory; but history being written. Jonah remains the Youngest All Black in History.
